What is Antique Drapery Rod Eco Silk?
Antique Drapery Rod textiles do not us dioxin bleaches or optical whiteners. Our bleaching is done with solutions that are made non-toxic and PH neutral being released back into the eco system.

Processing one pound of conventional cotton requires up to seven pounds of toxic chemicals. Some of the most toxic chemicals are dioxin bleaches and the optical whiteners that leave a light reflective, blue white coating. Traces of these chemicals are left in the textiles and many believe may be absorbed by the skin or breathing textile fibers. After processing, these chemicals are often released into rivers and streams, polluting ground water sources.
